Nail bar in Andover receives £1200 boost from the council
Test Valley Borough Council is pleased to announce that Style Nails in Andover has been awarded an Independent Retailer Grant of £1200. This grant is part of the council's ongoing efforts to support local businesses and promote economic growth within the community.
Style Nails, owned by My Truong, offers a wide range of nail treatments including acrylic and gel powder nails, infills, SNS (dipping powders), shellac or gel nails, and pedicures. From simple manicures to fancy nails for weddings and parties, hand-painted designs, and 3D flowers. Their aim is to make clients feel pampered and cared for on every visit. The new business is based in what was an empty shop in the Chantry Centre.
My Truong said, "We are incredibly thankful to the council for the grant. Their support has been invaluable in helping us establish our business in the Chantry Centre."
Andover St Mary’s ward, Councillor Jan Budzynski, said: " We are excited to see Style Nails flourish in the Chantry Centre and wish My Hai Truong and her team much success. The grant schemes for new businesses are part of our commitment to fostering a strong local economy."
Test Valley Borough Council remains committed to supporting small businesses through various initiatives, including the Independent Retailer Grant program and the small business support service.
Recipients of the £1,200 grant receive £600 after three months of trading and a further £600 six months later. To be eligible for the grant, new or existing independent businesses must occupy a town centre ground floor unit which has been vacant for at least one month. Qualifying businesses include shops, restaurants and cafes.
