Local wellness centre supported with council business grant

A new wellness business in Andover is growing its customer base with support from a £750 Business Incentive Grant from Test Valley Borough Council.

The Ayurveda Clinic and Wellness Centre, run by local business owner James Saviour, offers holistic treatments based on traditional Indian Ayurvedic practices. Treatments include herbal body massages, stress and sleep management, women’s wellness support, and skin and hair therapies.

The centre features several treatment rooms furnished with traditional Indian wood, along with a dedicated yoga space upstairs. Yoga classes are beginning, giving local residents another way to support their health and wellbeing.

James Saviour, owner of the Ayurveda Clinic and Wellness Centre, said: “The grant has been a real help during the early stages of the business, when costs are high because it takes time to build a steady client base. We’re seeing more returning clients and new people finding us through recommendations, which is really encouraging. Having this support from the council is very welcome.”

Andover St Mary’s Ward Councillor Iris Andersen said: “We’re pleased to support new businesses like the Ayurveda Clinic and Wellness Centre through our Business Incentive Grant. Small businesses play an important role in our local economy, and this grant is designed to help them get established, grow at a sustainable pace, and serve their local communities.”

Test Valley Borough Council is committed to supporting local businesses through various initiatives and grants. The Business Incentive Grant is designed to help new businesses located in Test Valley achieve their goals and contribute to the local economy. You must apply for the grant within eight weeks of starting to trade, and the Council will award the money once you have been up and running for a minimum of six months.
