Business Incentive Grant helps Ori Healthcare grow local care services
A growing Test Valley care provider has received support from Test Valley Borough Council to help develop its business and expand the services it offers to local residents.
Ori Healthcare, based at Grateley Business Park, has been awarded a £750 Business Incentive Grant to support business expenses, including the purchase of more stocks of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Founded by registered nurse and forensic psychologist Fungisai Shumba, Ori Healthcare currently supports ten clients and employs seven members of staff. The business provides a range of care services, including support for people living with dementia, those requiring palliative care, and individuals needing general social care support.
Fungisai remains closely involved in the delivery of care, regularly visiting clients to identify any additional needs and ensure high standards are maintained. Her passion for caring for older people stems from her own experience growing up with her grandmother, which gave her an early understanding of the challenges people can face as they age.
The business is preparing for future growth, with plans to expand its workforce and broaden the services it can offer as new opportunities become available.

Test Valley Borough Council is committed to supporting local businesses through various initiatives and grants. The Business Incentive Grant is designed to help new businesses located in Test Valley achieve their goals and contribute to the local economy. Businesses must apply for the grant within eight weeks of starting to trade, and the council awards the funding once they have been operating for a minimum of six months.
