First Draft Landscape Character Assessment Report
The First Draft was informed by the few comments and referral to additional documents by the stakeholders and by the perceptions and values that arose from the series of Focus Group meetings with the local community. At this stage the First Draft Landscape Character Assessment was not informed by the local community’s knowledge of the landscape, which was to emerge later through the workshops. The classification of the landscape and its physical, historical, ecological, cultural and visual characteristics was therefore based on work undertaken by KLPC, Countryscape and Gifford.
