Community Litter Pickers

We work in partnership with individuals who want to improve their local environment by becoming a Community Litter Picker.

We currently have around 700 Community Litter Pickers throughout the Borough and if you would like to join up, we will provide you with a litter picker and a roll of sacks.

Please note:

  • you must be a resident of Test Valley to take part (aged 5 or over)
  • you must only litter pick public land. If you spot any litter, or accumulations of waste, on private land, please leave it and let us know.
  • If you have room, you can put your collected litter in your black household waste bin. Alternatively, you can put your bagged litter in, or next to, one of our litter bins.

We will provide you with a Health and Safety Checklist and provide you with support as necessary.

To become a Community Litter Picker, please complete our registration form - if you are joining as a group, with your partner or as a family, please do this on one form.

If you no longer wish to continue being a Community Litter Picker, please contact us and we will arrange to collect your equipment, so it can be used by someone else.
