Application process
Open Hampshire Home Choice website - Home - Hampshire Homechoice
To successfully submit your housing register application, please complete both Step 1 and Step 2.
Step 1 - Sign Up - Create an account
- Click register
- Input your national insurance number
- Complete your personal details and contact preferences
- You will need to set up secruity this will include a memorable date 00/00/0000 and a password that must contain 6-10 characters, 2 upper, 2 lower and 2 numbers.

💳 National Insurance number (Found on your NI card, payslip, P60, P45, Benefit award letter, DWP letter)
Step 2 - Apply - Complete the application form
The Hampshire Home Choice website will guide you through the process. Follow the intructions on screen.
Information you will need for your application
🆔 Proof of identification for all household members (Birth certificate, Passport, Driving Licence, copies accepted)
🏠 5 year address history
🏦 Full bank statements for the past two months for all accounts that you/your partner hold (PDF format, available from your bank or download in your banking app)
💷 Evidence of savings/investments (ISAs, Bonds, Stocks/Shares, Premium Bonds etc)
💷 Evidence of your/your partner’s income (Payslip, latest HMRC Tax Return if Self Employed)
🪪 Proof of immigration status (if you are a non UK national) (Please provide a share code to show your immigration status, you can view and share details of your status with others using the Home Office online status service www.gov.uk/view-prove-immigration-status)
Applicants have up to 15 minutes to complete each page before it times out. You can save your application at any time during the process.
After you have submitted your application
We will assess your application and will let you know the outcome. We may contact you if we need more information to complete the assessment. If your application is non qualifying, we will explain the decision and outline the next steps.
Help and Support
You don't need to make this application yourself, you may wish to ask a close friend or family member to help. Agencies such as Citizens Advice or Age Concern may also be able to assist. Alternatively, please contact the Lettings Team for further support.
